Alien Vessels by Nicole Walker
Fueled by a bestial obsession with glass, Nicole Walker trusts her intuition, pushing to the limit, blowing forms on the verge of being too big and heavy to handle. She engages in a violent process, involving cuts and burns. An equal part struggling with and surrendering to the material. A controlled chaos. Ten unique works, titled Alien Vessels, are signed on the base, numbered one to ten and exclusively sold at the our Stockholm flagship store.
The presented vessels are Walker's attempt to unite her world with All Blues. Some are textured, some smooth, shifting from light to dark in different shades of blue. Nicole Walker was born in Gothenburg 1989 and recently graduated with a BFA in Ceramics & Glass from the University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm.
